Be more than a number.

At California Western, you are more than just a set of test scores. In our 90-year history we’ve found that when we take a chance on students, provide them with a supportive learning community and access to the resources they need to succeed, more often than not they exceed our expectations.

Law Dogs, Donuts, and Ice Cream

Need a break? Our friendly Student & Diversity Services team offers therapy dogs to help with finals stress, donuts with the Dean, and ice cream hand-scooped for you by faculty and staff. While we expect a lot of our students, we expect you to have a little fun, too.

Do more than just study.

Our community includes more than just students. It includes surfers, rock climbers, volunteers, and community activists.

More Surf Breaks, Microbreweries, and Recreation

It would be difficult to think of a better place to endure the rigors of law study. The average daily temperature ranges from 65 degrees in January to 77 degrees in August. With 267 days of sunshine a year, you will have plenty of opportunities to explore the 50 miles of accessible beaches.

In your second year of law school

More opportunities to give back

We take pride in our culture of giving back, which has been recognized by President Obama’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. Our hands-on approach to legal education helps you develop the skills you need to practice while making a difference in the community.
